Directions For Use

Dosages may be administered once a day or split and provided twice daily. Sprinkle product onto any feline diet. Mix in or moisten to make a tasty, protein rich broth. To assure freshness and avoid settling, shake periodically, keep sealed, and store in a cool, dry place. Whenever introducing a new animal health supplement to the diet, it is always best to start with half the recommended dosage for the first week.

Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS)

The basis for a decline in cognitive function in our aging dogs and cats can be biological and/or nutritional. Aging is often associated with a decreased absorption of key ingredients needed to nourish the brain. Aging also brings an increase in oxidative stress due to free radical attacks that damage the protein, lipid, and nucleotide structures of the brain. Numerous scientific studies have confirmed that oxidative damage and the

lack of key nutritional ingredients leads to cognitive dysfunction and memory decline. This process is called Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS).

CDS is not as well recognized in cats due to their obscure nature. It has been estimated that 28 percent of pet cats aged 11-14 years develop at least one age-related behavior problem and this increases to more than 50 percent for cats over the age of 15.

The initial symptoms of CDS in the dog and cat can be mild and are often written off as normal signs of aging. Cognitive dysfunction signs will gradually worsen over time and can be referred to as “cognitive decline.”

For Senior Cats

Most senior cats exhibit at least one clinical sign of cognitive dysfunction, which can gradually worsen over time. Providing our senior cats with additional antioxidants and specialty ingredients to aid in the maintenance of normal brain function seems quite logical. Feline Cognitive Support has proven to be superior in maintaining slowing the progress of and potentially even reversing the signs of cognitive dysfunction.

I just got this product today. It came sooner than expected which is nice. I got it for one kitty in particular b/c I’ve been worried about her cognitive health. It’s almost like people that experience sundowning. As night falls she’ll intermittently holler as she stares up at the ceiling. She’s not having any other issues like forgetting where her box is and things like that but I figured since she’s 14 I would try to nip any cognitive decline issues in the bud. Of course it’s too soon to know any health benefits but I did want to mention that my super finicky hollering kitty LOVES the taste!! I opened the jar and was immediately bummed by the smell. I thought she’d never accept it in her food. Well, I brought the jar over to her and she sniffed it and then looked VERY interested. So, I went and got a little wet food (a type she doesn’t even normally like but was handy), added a half scoop, and mixed it in really well. She ate every last bit!! I was absolutely shocked and very happy! Another one of my kitties walked over to a bag that had put the protection seal into. It still had some powder on it. He shoved his head into the bag and grabbed the seal and began to livk the powder off!! He is also super finicky! My hope is that the other four are going to like it too because they aren’t nearly as fussy. So, if you’re concerned about the taste I’d be willing to bet it won’t be an issue.

Old man cat takes it with wet food and doesn’t seem to faze him. Thank goodness as I try to get him to eat and get nutrition.

  3. Katie

My 19-year-old Devon Rex was struggling with remembering where his everyday things are. He’d wander around looking for his litter box, etc. Within a week after starting him on this product, I could see a difference. He’s been on it a month now, and is more alert, for sure. I mix a tiny amount to water to the scoop of powder. He licks it right up. 🙂

The fur on my black cat has turned rusty. I researched online and it says he may need a tyrosine supplement. I mix this into his wet food. Together with the Royal Canin skin and fur dry food, his fur turned black again.

  5. Linda

My black cat who is about 10 years old was rust-colored, weak, and had lost muscle mass. After about a month we could see black hair coming in and he had more muscle and increased activity. Now about 3 months later he is back to his energetic self. I am sure this product does not cure everything and I am happy that for a black cat there are clear signs it works.

  6. Danielle

Seems to really be helping our almost 20-year-old cat. Her appetite has increased and she seems more peppy

  7. Debbie

I live out in the Caribbean in the countryside where Veterinary care, especially for cats is well: let’s say unreliable: Oreo turned 12 and her black hair was turning brown, her already moody behavior was getting worse and she was losing a lot of weight. (I suspect she has IBD) So, I decided to purchase this product and after two weeks of using Dr. Bill’s Feline Cognitive support I am happy to say I saw a positive mood change, a gain in her weight and even though her fur has not returned to it’s black color I saw a slow down and perhaps a reversal of the brown color.
